He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfons Loening and Alma Loening. He is survived by: his wife Brigitte Loening; his son Peter; his daughter-in-law Ida Loening of South Windsor; his daughter Cynthia; his son-in-law George Eichner of Tolland; his grandchildren, Kristin (Daniel MacArthur), Brigitte Eichner, James (Lori Loening) and Katrina Eichner (T. J. Yockachonis); his great grandchildren, Mia, Julia, Savannah, Vivian and Ella; and his sister Gabrielle Bittmann of Sweden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
