John F. Romano Obituary
John F. Romano passed away on November 2, 2024 at Notre Dame Health & Rehabilitation Center, Norwalk. Mr. Romano was born in Norwalk, the son of Vincent "Jimmie" and Lucia (Schiavone) Romano. He was a graduate of Norwalk High School, the class of 1948, and a graduate of Norwalk Community College.
Mr. Romano was a banker for many years, and was treasurer for the former Fairfield County Savings Bank. John was a rabid Yankees fan and enjoyed traveling.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Alfred and Vincent Romano, and sisters Celia Altobelli, Anne Fanaili, Adelaide D'Ambrosi and Elvira Muoio, and is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Wednesday, November 6 at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.
