It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Jerome Hurd of Wilton, Connecticut, born in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 2, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Geoffrey Hurd. He is survived by: his wife Mildred Hurd; his daughters, Sarah Hurd and Courtney Hurd Petroski; his son-in-law David Petroski; his grandchildren, Noelle and Flynn; and his children, William Hurd, Donald Hurd Jr., Kevin Hurd, Kimberly Hurd Bamberger and Cynthia Hurd Olson. He is also survived by grandchildren, and great-grandchildren from a former spouse.

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Raymond Funeral Home (5 E Wall St, Norwalk, CT 06851). A masonic service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A prayer was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Kensico Cemetery (273 Lakeview Ave, Valhalla, NY 10595).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made in Don's memory to a charity of your choice.
