It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Scott E. Wing of Willington, Connecticut, who passed away on February 27, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Laura Wing (Burke); his sons, Christopher Wing (Emily) and Michael Wing; and his sister Nancy Wing. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“Scott and I worked together at DEEP for many years. For at least 15 years, we sat in adjacent cubicles. I learned a lot from Scott about work and life by just following his fine example. I could always count on Scott to be there to help me with challenges at work and he was a true-blue friend. Scott was kind, generous and a true gentleman. I will miss him always.”

If we measure friendship by time together ours may seem modest; measured by joy written and felt through his letters, recounting love for Laura, sons and black lab, our friendship was vast. A career exploring remote locales, a hobby-rich home, and loving family and friends was his best life. His spirit, decency, and rich laugh will resonate in our souls always.
