It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne L. Young of Willington, Connecticut, who passed away on August 31, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Joanne may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Ira Young; her parents, Joseph Bernier and Delina Bernier (Morrissette); and her grandchildren, Mark Jr. and Krystal.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Young of Louisiana, Jolene Csiki, Dave of Vermont, Jackie Harrington (Doug) of Montana and Darlene Laflamme (Daniel) of Connecticut; her brother Bruce Mercure of Maine; and her sister-in-law Anne Mercure of Connecticut. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
