He was predeceased by: his son Giovanni Davide Favretti. He is survived by: his wife Joy Van; his children, Elizabeth Emily Favretti Macdonald (James Robert Macdonald), James Francis Macdonald and Margaret Augusta Favretti (Maggie); his son-in-law Paul David Duddy; his granddaughter Sarah Putman Myers; and his son-in-law Frank Holozubiec.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rudy J. Favretti's name to Joshua's Trust (https://joshuastrust.org) and the Mansfield Historical Society (https://mansfieldct-history.org).
