He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Harris Balcom and Arthur L. Balcom; his wife Pauline R. Balcom; and his son Robert A. Balcom, Jr.. He is survived by: his sister Norma B. Hawkins of Brooklyn, CT. He is also survived by two granddaughters and several great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
