We are sad to announce that on July 31, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Peter McDevitt Jr. of Willimantic, Connecticut, born in Mount Kisco, New York. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Joseph McDevitt, Sr. and Beatrice McDevitt (Doherty); and his daughter Mariaelana McDevitt. He is survived by: his significant other Lorraine McDevitt (Montimurro); his sons, Peter McDevitt (Susan) and Ian Michael McDevitt; his daughter-in-law Andrea (Lord); his daughter Melanie Godbout (Dana); his great grandchildren, Devin Maria Godbout, Michael Finn McDevitt, Robert Gamache and Hollie Christine Gamache; and also, Connor and Emma Cobb.

Due to the rise in COVID-19, we ask that masks be worn during the calling hours.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Peter's name to the Windham High School Booster Club, 355 High Street, Willimantic, CT 06226, in support of one of his greatest passions, high school athletics.

“So sorry to hear of Coach McDevitt's passing. Coach had such a positive impact on my life, especially swimming for the Pautipaug Country Club Swim Team. I learned the term 'two a days' from Coach, and will never forget getting bounced around the back of his VW bus with my brother Larry, Mariaelena, Peter and the rest every AM. No seat belts? Hell, no seats! He pushed me more than most, and I admired him for it. He brought out the best in us at Pautipaug and of course at UCONN. RIP.”
