It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan F. Cariglia (Willimantic, Connecticut), born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 16, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George Fredenburg and Helen Fredenburg (Toomey); her children, Lisa (Greg Young) of Storrs and Gregory of Mansfield; her grandson Michael of Brooklyn; her daughter-in-law Judy of Columbia; her husband Michael A. Cariglia; her son Jeffrey; her sister Fredi Verdesca of Naples; her sister-in-law Joann Fredenburg Grant of Silver Springs; her close friends, Jeanne Morascini and Claire Delekta; and her adoptive daughter Sara Brisson. She was also cherished by 3 grand dogs, many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
