He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcelino Ortiz and Adelaida Rosa Burgos. He is survived by: his children, Ellis, Hector Jr., Carlos, Richard, Glenn, Maria Ortiz and Ivan Maldonado. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
