He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincenzo La Pira and Sebastiana Uccello; and his grandson Gage La Pira. He is survived by: his wife Maria La Pira (Mangiafico); his children, Sebastiana (Charlie Szilagyi), Vincenzo (Sandra La Pira), Giuseppe (Patricia La Pira), Maurizio (Michele La Pira) and Paola (Dwight Debow); his grandchildren, David, Vincent (Caitlin), Steven (Kala), Kaitlyn, Meaghan, Myranda, Ashley, Taylor, Maria, Salvatore, Giuseppe and Nicolas; his great grandchildren, Audrey, Bentley, Addison and Rowan; his siblings, Giuseppe, Paolo, Lina (Salvatore) and Concetta of Sicily; and his parents-in-law, Vincenzo, Emma Mangiafico of Hartford, Salvatore Mangiafico of Plainville, Corrado, Gloria Mangiafico of Middletown, Sebastiano Mangiafico of Florida, Paolo and Tina Mangiafico of Sicily. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
