He is survived by: his parents, Jonathan Francis Kilbourn, Sr. and Clara Vivell Kent Kilbourn; his wife Elaine Deran Kilbourn; his sister Olivia Kilbourn Birdsall; and his children, Mary Kilbourn Miner, Pamela Kilbourn Smith, Kent Kilbourn, Connor Kilbourn and Andrew Kilbourn. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Rowayton Hose Company No. 1, 136 Rowayton Ave, Norwalk, CT 06853.
