He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. José Amat and Ana Amat (Arámbula); and his brother Deacon Emiliano Amat. He is survived by: his wife Caridad Amat (Ortiz); his children, Joseph Amat (Patricia) of Glastonbury, CT, Francis Amat (Lisa) of Wethersfield, CT and Marina Amat Conran (Gregory) of Leesburg, VA; his grandchildren, Christine, Joseph, Samantha, Alexander and Catarina; and his great grandchild Xyon Ramsey.
