He was predeceased by: his parents, Meraldo Mejias and Isabel Delgado; his brother Jesus Delgado; his daughter Madeline Mejias; and his stepchildren, Maria Torres and Ricky Hernandez.
He is survived by: his wife Julia Hernandez; his children, Ileana Mejias and Ismael Mejias; his sister Juanita; and his children, Rosa Perez, Carmen Hernandez-Torres and Nitza Nieves.
