She was predeceased by: her husband William C Brown; her parents, Alice Hathaway (Robinson) and Bernard Hathaway; her siblings, Eva Mae and Bernard "Sonny" Hathaway; and her grandson Samuel Forrest LaValley.
She is survived by: her children, William Brown (Karen), Mary LaValley, James Brown (Cathy), Judith Brown (Peter Hartman) and Robert Brown (Lonny Rogers); her grandchildren, Kelly Clark (John), John Brown (Matthew), Albert LaValley (Anna), Claire, Madeline LaValley, Erica, Kevin Brown, Asa, Helene and Andrew Hartman; her great grandchild Clara AnneMarie Clark; and her sister-in-law Lois Hathaway. She is also survived by three nieces.
