He was predeceased by: his grandparents, John T. Elliott, Claire C. Elliott, William Flatow, Jr. and Betty Flatow; his uncle John M. Elliott; his aunt Susan Flatow Savage; and his cousin Katherine M. Elliott.

He is survived by: his close friend Will; his son William Flatow (Jennifer Flatow); his parents, Margaret Mary Elliott and Peter Flatow; his stepmother Jackie Flatow; his siblings, Brian Flatow (Eleanor) of New Canaan, Kelly Flatow of New York City and Brendan Flatow (Krissie) of Blue Bell, PA; his nieces and nephews, Claire, Grace, Bridget Flatow, Brendan, Connor and Kieran Flatow; his uncles, Thomas J. Elliott and Richard W. Flatow; and also, Irene and Bill Petersen.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of DYHA (Darien Youth Hockey Association).
