We are sad to announce that on October 1, 2024, at the age of 80, John F. Fanning of Westport, Connecticut, born in Lowell, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Fanning and Agnes Fanning (Finnick); his former wife Ann Marie Fanning; and his son F. Thomas Fanning. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Fanning; his son Michael J. Fanning (Jennifer Kupper) of Westport; his grandson Jack; his sister Mary Broderick (Frank) of Hampton Beach, NH; his nephews, Mark and Mac Broderick; and his niece Allison Novac.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Matthew 25 Ministries, an organization Jack's cousin, Mary Finnick has devoted a large portion of her life to serving. (http://www.m25m.org.).
