She was predeceased by: her daughter Lee Ann; her grandson Timmy; and her siblings, George J. Gillespie, III, Peter Gillespie, Mary Sandzen, Dorothy Duffy and Barbara Childs.
She is survived by: her children, Dean, Greg (Marianne) and Jennifer Carberry; her grandsons, James Plaia, Michael and Ryan Carberry; her sister Jane Steinthal (Jack); and her sister-in-law Meli Martin (Mike).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made in Helen's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
