With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sheila J. Velsmid of Westbrook, Connecticut, who passed away on October 15, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Stephen Velsmid, Sr.; and her son Stephen Jr.. She is survived by: her sister Moira McKay; her nieces, Esther, Stephanie and Janet; her grandchildren, John and Tina Marie; her great grandchild Ashley; and also Kaaren. She is also survived by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the Dominican Nuns of Our Lady of Grace Monastery in North Guilford, CT or The Shoreline Soup Kitchens and Pantries.
