He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Connelly and Loraine Connelly (Loechner); his wife Darylle Connelly (Steiner); and his brothers, Peter Connelly and Michael Timothy Connelly.
He is survived by: his children, Sean Connelly (Lisa) of Killingworth, Keri Hagness (Jamie) of Madison, Amye Soboleski (Jeremy) of Ivoryton and Traver Steiner (Christina) of Old Lyme; his grandchildren, Bryce Connelly, Ella Connelly, Kate Hagness, Connor Hagness, Mason Soboleski, Holden Soboleski, Marek Soboleski and Noah Steiner; and his sister-in-law Margo Connelly of Greece, NY. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home & Cremation Service (43 Kirkham Ave, East Haven, CT 06512). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, an organization that Rick and Darylle supported for many years.
