He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Robert D. Mitchell and Donna Maher; and his great-grandparent Frances Giugno. He is survived by: his parents, Robert M. "Bob" Mitchell and Jenifer Mitchell; his siblings, Robert J. "Robby" Mitchell (Mindy) and Rebecca "Becca" Mitchell; his grandparents, Linda, Gale Fish, Mary Mitchell, Alan and Mary Jo Bernard; and his aunts and uncles, Tanina (Dean McMorran Jr.), Alan Mitchell, Jamie (Jim Baker), Keith (Stephanie Donovan) and Lisa (Henry Jicha). He is also survived by great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

Honoring his wishes to be an organ and tissue donor, Xander provided life and better health to many other people through the gift of donation.
