John P. DeChello Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John P. DeChello of West Haven, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 13, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wives, Mary Keyes DeChello and June; his son Joseph A. DeChello; and his siblings, Mary Giannotti, Eleanor Squeglia, Victoria Innamorato, Barbara Godlewski and Louis DeChello.
He is survived by: his children, John DeChello (Gina Funaro), Mary Aveni (Anthony) and Jennifer DeChello (Paul Panamarenko); his grandchildren, Patrick Aveni (Mirljinda), Kaitlyn, Kyle, Kevin and Kacey DeChello; his great grandchild Lily Aveni; his siblings, Dolores, Rose DeChello, Jane Martin, Patricia Aveni and George; and also Nancy DeChello.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the West Haven Funeral Home (662 Savin Ave, West Haven, CT 06516). A prayer was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Agency on Aging of South Central Connecticut.
