She was predeceased by: her parents, Monserate Aviles and Valentina Casillas; her sons, Louis R. Colón and Luís Alberto Colón; and her brothers, Luís Flecha and Monserate Aviles, Jr..
She is survived by: her spouse Cristbal Colón; her children, Lucy Morales, Grisel Vargas of Hamden and Bryant Colón of North Branford; and her siblings, Catalina Aviles of New Haven, Sol Merced (José) of Guayama, PR and Antonio Aviles (Luz) of Guayama. She is also survived by twenty one grandchildren, thirty five great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home (4 Washington Ave, North Haven, CT 06473). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Therese Church (St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish) (555 Middletown Ave, North Haven, CT 06473).
