He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew J. and Anna J. Zimmerman (Ziptak); his wife Donna; and also Elizabeth Janis. He is survived by: his children, Joseph E. Zimmerman, Jr (Jean) of Falls Church, VA and Gerald A. Zimmerman of West Hartland; his grandchildren, David Zimmerman (Yue), Michael Zimmerman (Kelly), Susan Zimmerman and Steven Zimmerman; and his great grandchildren, Taylor Zimmerman, Abigail Zimmerman and Isabelle Zimmerman.
