He was predeceased by: his wife Frances J Hartigan. He is survived by: his children, Joan Hartigan (Larry Griffin) of Newington, William Hartigan Jr. of Newington and Jennifer Battaglia (Steve Battaglia) of Glastonbury; his grandchildren, Ashley Corino (Jim Corino) of New Jersey, Amanda Brown of California, Brendan Hartigan (Andrew Autunno) of West Hartford, Brittany Battaglia of North Carolina and Michael Battaglia of Pennsylvania; and his great grandchildren, James and Madison Corino of New Jersey.

Bill served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict era and the family asks that donations to the VA or another Veterans organization be made in lieu of flowers.
