He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Staunton and Bridget Staunton (Mullarkey); and his siblings, Kitty, Francis, Patrick, Thomas and Jimmy.
He is survived by: his wife Susan; his daughter Jennifer; and his sisters, Bridget Moran, Bernie Reilly-Duffy, Mary Staunton and Anne Staunton-Rahi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
