He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Denise Desmarais (Bouvier) of West Hartford; his parents, Armand Desmarais and Irene Desmarais (Cesanek) of West Hartford; his children, Nicholas Desmarais (Jennifer) of West Hartford, Gregory Desmarais (Kim Crepeau) of West Hartford and Emily Desmarais of Denver; his siblings, Karen Desmarais of West Hartford, James Desmarais of New Britain and Bouvier Insurance; and also, Robert F. Bouvier and Munson. He was also cherished by wife and loving children.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Peter Claver Church.
