She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Leo Shay, MD and Helen Shay (Butler); her husband Howard Travers; and her sister Elizabeth Dahill. She is survived by: her children, Katherine of West Hartford, CT, John (Sandra) of Shrewsbury, MA, Jane Richards (William) of Middletown, CT, Paul (Judy) of West Hartford, CT and Maura Douglas (Scott) of Germantown, WI; her grandchildren, Allison, Patrick, Sara Richards, Sean, Meghan, Devin Travers, Katie Goggins, Melissa Douglas, James and Michael Travers; her great grandchildren, Finn Goggins, Landyn and Remi Richards; and her siblings, Barbara Curran MacDonald of Madison, CT and David Leo Shay.
