She was predeceased by: her parents, Scott Scammell II and Deborah Jones Scammell; and her brother Stephen. She is survived by: her sons, Scott and Peter; her children-in-law, Cristina Pausini and Liz Carpenter; her grandchildren, Reid, Drew and Charlie; her siblings, Scott III, Charles and Shelley; and her former husband John.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
