He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; and his sisters, Jean and Barbara. He is survived by: his sister Shirley Kucia of Canton; his children, Robert "Rusty" Cunningham Jr. (Wendy) of Burlington, Mary Avery of Tolland, John Cunningham of Virginia, Jane Derrick (Doug) of South Carolina, Peter Cunningham (Susan) and Paul Cunningham (Don George) of Virginia; his grandchildren, Julie (Pawel Lisek), Lisa (Rob Wistrom), Paul (Tiffany Ricciardi), Dani (Erik Dettenmayer), Holly (Nick Merullo), Kelly Cunningham (Ryan Marques), Nick George and Vanessa George; and his great grandchildren, Joshua, Mikayla, Alaina, Cameron, Karina, Kenneth and Andrea.
Due to COVID concerns, there will be no calling hours nor post-burial meal.
