Calfous of West Hartford, Connecticut, born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on March 6, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Tsampika Athanasiades and Zacharias Athanasiades (Dennis A. Calfous); and her husband John N. Karas. She is survived by: her children, Nick Karas, Cynthia O'Connor (Daniel) and Zachary Karas; her stepdaughters, Christine Calfous and Valerie Calfous; her grandchildren, Zachary O'Connor, John Karas (Heather), Matthew O'Connor, Elizabeth Simpson (Michael), Peter Karas (Sally Anne) and Jacob Karas; and her great grandchildren, Anna Karas and Grace Marie Simpson. She is also survived by child, she felt blessed to be a mother to her children and a Yiayia to her "very good-looking" grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
