He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Freitag and Rose Freitag (Ruoff); his wife Barbara Pallett Freitag; and his son Thomas. He is survived by: his children, John Jr. (Mary) of Vernon, Carl (Dede) of Dayville, Barbararose Flood (Scott) of Ellington, David of Vernon, Daniel (Christina) of Enfield, Robert of Vernon, Edward (Yanyan) of West Simsbury and Kitty Johndrow (Tom) of Belchertown, MA.; his great grandchildren, Matthew Johndrow, Elizabeth Johndrow, Alexandra Freitag, Victoria Freitag, Jessica Roberts, Joshua Freitag, David Freitag, Jr, Rebecca Freitag, Kevin Flood, Samantha Monroy, Nicki Henry, Carol Fitzpatrick, Cynthia Soto and Daniel McArdel; his brother Herman of Bloomfield; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Pallett-Hehn of Westbrook. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
