Joan Roach Amell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Roach Amell of West Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett J. Roach and Lillian C. Roach; her husband Arnold; her sisters, Patricia Whalen Maley and Jean McMillan; and her daughter-in-law Cindy Amell.
She is survived by: her children, James Amell (Patricia Adams) of Gansevoort, NY, Jeffrey (Mary Martin) of West Hartford, CT and Mary Jo Spath (Michael) of Franklin, MA; her grandchildren, Megan Farrell (Caleb), Molly Bush (Travis), Kaitlin, Bridget, Emily Spath, Grace and James Amell; her sisters, Barbara Waters and Doreen Ryan (James); and her sister-in-law Shirley Amell. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
