He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Joy and Margaret Joy (Kavanaugh); his wife Ann (Kicin); his grandson Peter Wells Joy; his brother John; his sister-in-law Marjorie Joy; his sister Kathleen; and his brother-in-law William McCarthy.
He is survived by: his children, Paul M. Joy (Jessica) of Wilton, CT and Susan M. Joy; his sister Marian; his siblings-in-law, Francis Murphy of Windsor, CT and Helen Malm (William) of Tequesta, FL; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Anna, Sarah, William, Louis, Bryce, Zoe, Andrew, Ila and Cameron Joy. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Connecticut Children's in his name.
