Irene Petkaitis Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 9, 2024, at the age of 93, Irene Petkaitis of West Hartford, Connecticut, born in Hartford, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Petras Yankauskas and Anna Yankauskas (Motejunas); her husband George Petkaitis (Jurgis); and her siblings, Dorothy Krancunas, Theresa Cameron and Raymond Yankauskas.
She is survived by: her children, Peter, Tomas and Dana Petkaitis; her daughter-in-law Ruth Petkaitis; her grandsons, Tomas, Miles, Gabriel and Benjamin Petkaitis; and her sister Elizabeth Yankauskas. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Irene worked for the Hartford Fire Department and later for the American Heart Association.
