She was predeceased by: her parents, James J. Markham and Agnes V. Markham (Manning); and her siblings, Jean, Claire, James, Charles and Richard.

She is survived by: her sister-in-law Rosemary Markham of Orange; her nephew Richard Markham Jr.; her nieces, Catherine Keene, Maureen Markham and Lisa Markham; and her close friend Suzanne Carter.

Memorial donations in her honor may be made to Southern Poverty Law Center.
