With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Ann Guthu of West Hartford, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 5, 2025 at the age of 73. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Campbell (Kuranz) and Charles R. Campbell. She is survived by: her husband Steve Guthu; her son David (Zoë); her granddaughter Sienna Guthu-Wild; her daughter Sarah (Cassidy Zimmerman) of Seattle, WA; her siblings, Peter Campbell of Babbitt, MN, Charlie (Robin Campbell) of Spokane, WA, Mary Campbell, Ericeira, Susan (Scott Esary) of Duvall, WA and Diane (Jeff Lewis) of Enumclaw, WA; her aunt Pat Schuh of Waukesha, WI; and her nieces and nephews, Chris Campbell, Kim Iffland, Chuck, Aaron, Katie Campbell, Chrissy Flores, Sean, Neil Campbell-Brennan, Mina Pariseau and Miriam Lewis.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas Catholic Church (1 E Main St, Thomaston, CT 06787). A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at the same location.

“Betsy was a dear friend for many years. She was the most caring woman I have ever known. She always asked how you were doing and cared deeply about others. We enjoyed many special moments together over the years: walking at Settlers Park, celebrating birthdays, book club, happy hours, playing cards and mahjong, Betsy, you were a very special woman who I was lucky to share so many wonderful memories with.
