He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his son Michael Higgison; his stepchildren, Kathleen, Philip Grzewinski, Patricia O'Connor, John, Carol O'Connor, Eileen, James Clinton, Mary, David Woods and Julie O'Connor; his grandchildren, Laura, Michael Grzewinski, Timothy Rice, Shannon, Caitlin O'Connor, Matthew Clinton, Ryan, Caroline Woods, Catherine and Claire Golder; and his great grandchildren, Brianna, Derek and Caleb.
