He was predeceased by: his mother Alice Williams; his stepfather Christopher Sonne; and his father Charles F. Kline. He is survived by: his wife Carol Lotz Sonne; his children, Jonathan Edward Sonne, MD (Rebecca Woodruff Lambert, MD) of Naples, FL and Carrie Sonne O'Reilly (Shane A. O'Reilly) of Wilton, CT; his grandchildren, Merrill Esme Sonne, Brent Charles Sonne of Naples, FL and Landon Charles O'Reilly of Wilton, CT; and his siblings, Jefferey Kline of Miami, FL and Leslie Riera (Felix) of Panama. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the Fairview Cemetery (200 Whitman Ave, West Hartford, CT 06107). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the St. John's Episcopal Church (679 Farmington Ave, Hartford, CT 06117).
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund (https://curealz.org), a Hospice organization, CT Humane Society (https://cthumane.org), or to a charity of the donor's choice.
