She was predeceased by: her mother Alyce Davis Knapp; her aunt Carolyn Davis; and her grandparents, William, Doris Davis, John P. Lukens, Sr. and Helen B. Hall.

She is survived by: her father John P. Lukens; her fiancé Drew Pearson; her uncle Russell; her aunt Susan Davis; her stepsiblings, Aine, Liam and Sean Knapp; her mother-in-law Alicia Bellard; and her grandparents, Margaret and Paul Barber.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Caroline's memory may be made to the Humane Society of the U.S.
