It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Brendan M. Fox D. (West Hartford, Connecticut), who passed away on August 31, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael D. Fox and Catherine Fox (McNamara); his wife Maureen Fox (Dunn); his brothers, John, Gerald, Tom and Monsignor Davitt Fox; and his daughter-in-law Karen.

He is survived by: his children, Greg (Carolyn) of Old Lyme, Cathleen Laffin (Fran) of West Hartford, Ellen Spalluto (Joe) of West Hartford, Steve (Fontayne) of Wilmington, DE and Brendan, Jr. (Ellen) of West Hartford; his grandchildren, Meghan Fox, Maureen, Carolyn, Caitlin Spalluto, Michael, Matthew, Stephen Laffin, Davitt, Ryan Fox, Brendan III, John and Luke Fox; and his sister Maureen Hallisey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Urology Care Foundation (urologyhealth.org) and to Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center (holyfamilyretreat.org), 303 Tunxis Road, West Hartford, CT, 06107.

“Irene and I extend our deepest sympathies on the passing of Dr. Fox. We have very fond memories of his gentle, wise and caring manner. He was among the most gracious gentlemen we’ve known, and we will miss him greatly. We know he is enjoying a reunion with his beautiful wife, Maureen, but the loss at home is immense. God bless Dr. Fox and all those he has left behind.”

“To all the dear family of Dr Fox. Your dad/ grandfather was so beloved by all of us in the medical community. He took young doctors under his wing and mentored us with a kind and gentle spirit. He spoke openly of how much his faith meant to him. It was always a delight to see him at Mass and no matter how many times he told me to call him “Brendan” he was always Dr Fox to me!! He was a hero to so many of us. I am happy he is together again with your wonderful mom. Love to all! Tracy Brennan”
