He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Carey and Martha Carey (Chipman); and his sister Jane Gibbs. He is survived by: his wife Joan Carey (Jenkins) of Weatogue, CT; his children, Carol Abrams (Phil) of Northport, NY, Cathy Bulkley (Gary) of Pasadena, MD and Jeff Carey of Avon, CT; and his grandchildren, David, Daniel Abrams, Matthew, Corry Bulkley and Jason Carey. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
