It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert J. Hammer in Watertown, Connecticut, born in Danbury, Connecticut, who passed away on May 28, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Hammer and Gladys Hammer (Ouzts); and his brother John Hammer. He is survived by: his wife Judy (Phelps); his daughter Debbie Downes (Bill); his grandchildren, Kate Lauretano (Matt) and Patrick Downes (Natalia); and his great grandchildren, Teddy, Ella and Logan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his large circle of friends.
