It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Shimkevich of Watertown, Connecticut, born in San Pedro, California, who passed away on January 9, 2022, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Amelia "Amy" Fortier and John Shimkevich; his sons, Nicholas Shimkevich (Mikayla Boroski) and Jeffery Shimkevich; and his brothers, Don Shimkevich of Washington and Jay Shimkevich of Florida.

Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. We are still concerned about the pandemic so masks must be always worn, while inside whether you are vaccinated or not.
