He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Lindy O'Brien (Silveira); his parents, Edward O'Brien and Florence O'Brien (Brennan); his children, Patrick O'Brien (Theresa), Gene Caouette, Elizabeth (Davide D'Occhio), Amanda Caouette (Krystal) and Alysa Caouette; his siblings, Michael O'Brien (Leslie), Kenneth O'Brien, Stephen O'Brien (Jackie), Gregory O'Brien (Caroline) and Maureen O'Brien; his grandchildren, Delaney D'Occhio, Joseph D'Occhio, Catherine O'Brien, Christina O'Brien and Christopher O'Brien; and his brothers, Edward O'Brien and Timothy O'Brien. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hickcox Funeral Home (195 Main St, Watertown, CT 06795). A memorial service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
