It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John William Wheelahan (Watertown, Connecticut), born in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on March 14, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Francis Wheelahan Sr. and Jane Tappan Wheelahan; his wife Jaqueline (Lafreniere); his daughters, Elaine Browning (Ray), Barbara Mordenti (Charlie) and Karen Bowden; his grandchildren, Jenny Gaity (Bryan), Dalton Browning, Zachary, Cody (Aubrey), Kyle Mordenti and Richard Dumaine; his great grandchildren, Avery, Brodie, Emma, Andrew and Colin; his siblings-in-law, Steve Lafreniere (Annette), Larry Lafreniere (Sylvia), Paulette Lackey Halfpenny and Linda Serra Dayton; his uncle Bill; his son James Allan Wheelahan; his brother Frank; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Wheelahan, Jr., Maurice and Rene Lafreniere.
