We are sad to announce that on October 12, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Joan Steele of Watertown, Connecticut, born in Waterbury, Connecticut. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Cunningham (Shipley) and John Cunningham; her husband Bruce Avery Steele; and her brother John Cunningham (Jack). She is survived by: her sister Lorraine Penta of Thomaston; and her children, Pamela Prinz (Albert) of Bethany, Sharon Dion (Terrance) of Southington and Robert Steele (Christine) of Torrington. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A public celebration of life will be held post pandemic at the convenience of the family.
To honor Joan's memory, donations may be made to Connecticut Community Care (ctcommunitycare.org) whose case management services allowed Joan to live independently in her later years.
