He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Larisa Johns (Marlak); his parents, Franklin Johns and Catherine Johns (Campbell) of Watertown; his friend Besides; his son Gerard C. Johns, Jr. of Watertown; his daughter-in-law Jenna Miller of Watertown; his parents-in-law, Francis and Sandra Marlak of Watertown; his siblings, Franklin Johns, Jr. (Peggy) of Waterbury and Susan Johns Pappas (Arthur, Jr.) of Woodbury; and his nieces and nephews, Michael Hellwinkle of Plainfield, Matthew Hellwinkle of Torrington, Arthur Pappas III of Woodbury, Ashley Pappas Cannella of Sandy Hook and Alex Pappas of North Carolina.
