Beloved mother, grandmother & great grandmother" Mrs. Emily (LoTufo) Rao, 94, of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late John V. Rao. Emily was born in New York, NY on October 17, 1923, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Palma Maria (Valatutti) LoTufo. She attended New York schools and worked for Warner Lambert in Long Island City, NY, retiring in 1982. She enjoyed cooking and cleaning for her family. She leaves two daughters, Gloria Sandin and her husband, Jon of Thomaston, Diane Servelli and her husband, Eugene of Bolton Landing, NY, three grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Jack and Diego LoTufo and one sister, Santa DeLuca. Arrangements: Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 8:45 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT to St. John the Evangelist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
