It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Stepanek of Watertown, Connecticut, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on October 25, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Stepanek and Sylvia Stepanek (Pasek); and his brother Robert Stepanek. He is survived by: his wife Carol Stepanek (Bakulski); his children, Lori Welch (Richard) of Holden, MA, Mike Stepanek of Vail, CO, Ron Stepanek (Kathy) of Philadelphia, PA and Donna Stepanek (Mike Nixer) of Meriden, CT; his adoptive daughter Bain Patrie of Meriden, CT.; his granddaughters, Kelleigh Welch (Mike Floyd) of Somerville, MA, Shannon Welch (Ryota Kojima) of La Jolla, CA, Corie Welch (Ariel Madrid) of Washington, DC and Amari (Dylan Stepanek); and his children, Pat Regan, Lisa Cattanneo and Joe Romano. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, any memorial contributions to be made to the Watertown Fire Department, Alzheimer's Association or Watertown Development Trust Fund c/o Watertown Parks & Rec.
